The Global Women in Data Science (WiDS) Conference inspires and educates data scientists of all genders and supports women in the field. This annual one-day event showcases the latest research and applications in data science. I, alongside a team of design leaders were tasked at crafting the visuals and branding for the Pune leg of this event.

Insight
Taking inspiration from the varied, diverse nature of data, this geometric visual language makes use of abstract patterns and shapes to express the same. To retain the "Indian" aspect to it, the ochre-yellow, which is very reminiscent of the culture of Pune, India, was an integral part of the visuals. The polka dot pattern was used to express repetition.




Insight
Whatsapp stickers were an integral part of the marketing campaign. Taking cues from the values of the Women in Data Sciences Community, the stickers proved to be a simple yet powerful way to effectively communicate the values to everyone.
